If one or more speakers are not working, it may be an issue with the power amplifier board or IC. To check the power amplifier board and IC, you’ll need to locate them within the piano. Once you’ve found them, check to see if the IC is working smoothly and that the voltage readings are correct. If the readings are correct but there’s still no sound, it may be an issue with the transistors. Check the transistors to see if they’re working properly. If you find that they’re not, replace them with new transistors. Once the transistors have been replaced, check the speakers again to see if the problem has been resolved. If you’ve checked all of the above steps and the speakers still aren’t working, it may be time to replace them. Purchase a new speaker and replace the faulty one. Once you’ve replaced the speaker, check the sound again to make sure everything is working properly. If you’re experiencing no sound from your PX-160 piano, it can be a frustrating experience. Redeem:It seems that there was an issue with a burnt carbon line causing it to become completely dry and resulting in no sound. Initially, the solution was to repair all carbon contacts on the PCB. However, upon further investigation, it was discovered that all 4.7V zener diodes had dry soldering, which was causing a lack of signal transmission. Therefore, even though the carbon line was fixed, the connection was still incomplete due to the dry soldering on the zener diode pins. Properly soldering the zener diode pins did resolve the issue of incomplete connection.
